Scholarship and Training Unit
It is a subsidiary organizational entity concerned with research matters outside the framework of the university, whether inside or outside the Kingdom. It is related to the work of facilitating and following up the scholarships of teaching assistants and lecturers to local and international universities of academic and research reputation to obtain higher degrees, gain knowledge and experience, and develop their educational, research and linguistic skills, as well as matters related to scientific assignments and scientific sabbaticals. for faculty members.​

Scholarship is one of the important means of developing and advancing education in most countries of the world. Because of the benefits it adds to scholarship students by enrolling them in international universities that possess expertise and quality in higher education, and because of the transfer of expertise, knowledge and technologies from scientifically and industrially advanced countries. The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sought to support external scholarships, to benefit from its outputs in the comprehensive and ambitious development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to achieve Vision 2030, by rehabilitating the nation's youth and the pillars of its civilization in the best and most experienced international universities, in all disciplines needed by immediate and future development To achieve progress and prosperity.​

Mission
Follow up the status of scholarships through annual reports and provide the necessary information for the departments to build a strategic plan compatible with the University of Bisha strategic plan and prepare faculty members, lecturers and new teaching assistants for the educational process. 
Objectives
  • Follow up on everything related to the scholarship, both internally and externally. 
  • Recommend what the unit deems appropriate in light of the secondary plan for scholarship. 
  • Suggesting the general policy for scholarships and training after coordination with the various departments of the college. 
  • Suggesting the secondary plan for sending and training the faculty's employees after coordination with the relevant authorities in the faculty and presenting it to the faculty council to take the necessary action.
  • Recommending the extension or termination of scholarships or training based on the proposal of departmental councils and based on the reports received from external supervisors and cultural attachés.
  • Proposing the secondary plan for training faculty members, lecturers and new teaching assistants to prepare them for the educational process, in coordination with the Development and Quality Assurance Unit.
  • Preparing a detailed annual report on the scholarship status at the department level and submitting it to the Vice Dean for Female Student Affairs for consideration and taking the necessary action. 

Unit tasks

  • Follow-up on the status of scholarship students through annual reports and providing the necessary information for the departments to build a strategic plan compatible with the University of Bisha's strategic plan and prepare faculty members, lecturers and new teaching assistants for the educational process. 
  • A list of all scholarships (internally and externally) 
  • Reports of external supervisors on scholarships.
  • All students' files.
  • Meeting the needs of departments and supporting teaching assistants and lecturers to obtain academic admission to distinguished universities.
  • Unit operational plan Formation of a scholarship committee at the college level.
  • Addressing the departments to find out the need for the specializations required for scholarships so that they can focus on them. 
  • Holding special training courses to educate the scholarship students and familiarize them with the most important matters they need in the pre-scholarship and post-scholarship phase, as well as receiving faculty members from foreign missions, lecturers and teaching assistants, and preparing them for the educational process in coordination with the Development and Quality Assurance Unit. 
  • Preparing a monthly report on the status of students on scholarships at the college and submitting it to the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Quality and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs at the College.
